Does Provillus Work?

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

The following comments are from real people who have used Provillus. These were found on a hair loss forum not associated with Provillus:

“After 6 weeks I am seeing some incredibly positive results. It is early days yet so we’ll see, but I am genuinely pleased if not somewhat surprised with the results. You can be skeptical about this post. I would indeed encourage a certain amount of healthy skepticism. I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. I just felt the need to post this in light of my results and seeing many people who have not even tried the product dismissing it.

“Works for me…seriously. I hated the side effects of Propecia and did not really work. Then I tried Revivogen for several years—messy. Then went to Procerin—not sure why I changed. Provillus is by far the best. My hair is thicker. It took about 3 months to see any improvements. I started noticing the difference when I shampoo my hair. The scalp wasn’t smooth anymore. I’ve been using Provillus for about a year.”

“I started using the product about a month ago, and I see results even after this short time. Thinning areas have started to fill in, and hair loss stopped. I can’t say if the growth will be sustainable or not, but I can say that for me, it is working.”

Provillus is for Men and Women

Women also suffer from hair loss. For them, hair loss is even more traumatic than for men. That’s why there’s a specially designed version of Provillus made just for women. It’s important that women use the female version while men use the male version.

For most men and women, Provillus will work. That’s because it contains minoxidil, which has been clinically proven to promote hair regrowth. According to Wikipedia, minoxidil is “known for its ability to slow or stop hair loss and promote hair regrowth.”

Provillus works best in younger people (18 to 41 years of age) who are balding in the central part of the scalp. It isn’t as effective when there is a large area of hair loss. In other words, don’t wait till you’re older and bald. Start now to see the best results.

Provillus Comes With a Unique Vitamin Supplement

A key part of the Provillus treatment is the specially formulated vitamin supplement. Each capsule contains herbs and minerals that supply your hair follicles with nutrients. Unlike other hair loss products, Provillus attacks hair loss from both the outside and the inside of your body.

When you buy a six-month supply of Provillus, the cost works out to a little over a dollar a day. For men and women who are seeing satisfactory results with their hair, that’s a price they’re happy to pay. Many other hair growth products are far more expensive, while others have unpleasant side effects (see previous post on Propecia). Safety and value have no doubt contributed to Provillus’s enduring popularity.

The official Provillus website can be found here. It contains tons of information about hair loss, hair loss treatment, and the ingredients that make up Provillus.

Provillus is Safer Than Propecia

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Let’s compare Provillus with another popular hair loss treatment—Propecia. Unlike Provillus, which contains the chemical minoxidil, Propecia contains the chemical finasteride. Like minoxidil, finasteride has been clinically proven to prevent hair loss and promote hair regrowth. However, there are some significant differences between minoxidil (Provillus) and finasteride (Propecia). For one thing, you must get a prescription for Propecia. No prescription is required for Provillus.

More importantly, finasteride (Propecia) is associated with some serious side effects. According to Propecia’s official website, “Women who are or may potentially be pregnant must not use Propecia and should not handle crushed or broken Propecia tablets because the active ingredient may cause abnormalities of a male baby’s sex organs.”

Sexual side effects can be a problem for men as well. According to Wikipedia, “finasteride (Propecia) has been linked to depression . . . and is under investigation by the Swedish Medical Products Agency for possibly causing irreversible sexual side effects.”

There’s a very disturbing online forum for men who have suffered irreversible side effects from taking finasteride. Here’s a sampling of their comments:

“Nothing, absolutely nothing worked to return me to the level of sexual satisfaction i had before finasteride.”

“I am new here and was a long term user of Propecia and cannot believe the side effects from this evil drug. I am sorry, hair is not worth all this.”

“The choice is yours, to risk losing your manhood, or not risk it at all. There are many on here that could care less about hair loss now that finasteride has ruined their lives.”

Provillus Has No Side Effects

Pretty sobering stuff. In contrast to finasteride (Propecia), minoxidil (Provillus) has absolutely no sexual side effects. There really aren’t any Provillus side effects at all. At worst it will make your scalp itchy, and Provillus contains powerful moisturizing agents to minimize this.

When Using Provillus, It’s Important To Remember That…

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Here are some things to remember if you’re using Provillus. First of all, hair grows slowly. Don’t expect instant results. In fact, there might even be a temporary increase in hair loss for the first few weeks. This is known as “shedding” and it’s actually a good thing. It means you’re losing your thin, weak hair. This will be replaced by thicker, healthier hair. But you’ve got to give any hair loss product a chance—it takes time.

We’re all different. No hair loss product will work for everyone. Because it contains minoxidil, Provillus will probably work for most people. But if it doesn’t they offer a money-back guarantee.

You have to keep on using any hair growth product indefinitely. Otherwise your hair loss might return. If a product works, however, most men and women are willing to put up with this.

Start Using Provillus Once You Notice Hair Loss

Start the Provillus treatment once you begin noticing your hair falling out. Don’t wait till your hair is gone. Long dormant hair follicles can’t be brought back to life.

You must consistently apply Provillus twice a day—every day. You should start to see some growth after 2 months, but it can take up to a year to see really strong Provillus results.

You can find a lot more information about Provillus—how it works, its ingredients, frequently asked questions—at their website here. If you follow the above advice, you should have a lot of success with Provillus.
