In addition to providing some Provillus reviews, I’d like to say a quick word about Provillus and how it compares to another leading hair-loss product—Propecia.

Unlike Provillus, which contains the chemical minoxidil, Propecia contains the chemical finasteride. Like minoxidil, finasteride has been clinically proven to prevent hair loss and promote hair regrowth. However, there are some significant differences between minoxidil (Provillus) and finasteride (Propecia).

For one thing, you must get a prescription for Propecia. No prescription is required for Provillus.

More importantly, finasteride (Propecia) is associated with some serious side effects. Sexual side effects can be a problem for men as well. According to Wikipedia, “finasteride (Propecia) has been linked to depression and is under investigation by the Swedish Medical Products Agency for possibly causing irreversible sexual side effects.”

There’s a very disturbing online forum for men who have suffered irreversible side effects from taking finasteride. Here’s a sampling of their comments:
